On Tuesday, November 28, a fire broke out in the Waukesha antique mall.
Waukesha fire department was called to the antiques mall just before midday on Tuesday for a reported structure fire. Light smoke was reported coming from the attic/roof area. During the dispatch, it was reported that there is a person missing in the area where fire started.
The crews managed to put out the fire in just 20 minutes.
Smoke filled the antiques mall. After about an hour, fire officials managed to vent the smoke from the building.
A recent repair of a furnace was blamed for the cause of fire.
Firefighters treated two people on scene, but they declined to take them further or transport them to hospital.
Building owners and contractors are working together to repair the building so that it can be opened as quickly as possible.
Fire officials do not currently have an estimate of damage.
